·        The Post was mustered in on Oct 17, 1996 with 25 members.  The installation of new Post Officers was by Department of the Pacific Areas Commander Robert W. Zaher assisted by PDC and Department Adjutant E. Ralph Milward. Appendix (a) contains a list of charter members.

·        The initial Post meeting was held at Linda’s Bar and Restaurant on September 26, 1996.

·        Sep 26, Sold  VFW T-shirts and caps for first fund raising.

·        On Oct  19 1996, participated in VFW Post 9892 Chili-Cook Off in Bauang La Union.  Post won Miss Chili Pepper Contest, Commanders award for best booth, and Commander Larry Senato won first prize raffle draw.

·        On Nov 16, 1996 ,Hosted Baguio Beer Drinkers Foundation monthly affair.

·        On Nov 10 & 11, 1996,  Attended Veterans Day celebration and District meeting in Angeles City hosted by VFW 2485.

·        Nov 1996, Preprinted VFW cards were send to US military members in Bosnia.

·        Nov 29, Conducted a medical mission (eyes, medical checkup and dental) in Naguilian, La Union

·        Comrade Henry Ford passed away January 2, 1997. He was buried at Irisan Cemetery and VFW rituals was conducted at graveside.

·        Mar 23, 1997, conducted a fund raising yard sale at the Parking lot of Linda’s Bar and Restaurant.

·        April 1997. Conducted First Annual Golf and Bowling Tournament. Net income of $2,912.93

·        May 26, 1997 Joint members of Post 124 and 9892 visited and conducted memorial services at the gravesite of Col BJ Smith and Comrade Henry Ford.
